Nicols Fox.The National Radio Quiet Zone is a 13,000-square-mile area in West Virginia & Virginia, where Cell Phone service, Wi-Fi, and almost every radio station are banned to minimize possible harmful interference to the National Radio Astronomy Observatory in Green Bank, WV. A few dozen people have moved in specifically because of it. They say they suffer from electromagnetic hypersensitivity, or EHS—a disease not recognized by the scientific community in which these frequencies can trigger acute symptoms like dizziness, nausea, rashes, irregular heartbeat, weakness, and chest pains.
